Compensation: $14.25 / hour + $3.88 average hourly tips
*Average hourly tips based on 2023 reporting. Actual tips may vary based on a variety of factors including location and hours.

Summary
A Store Coach is responsible for helping the General Manager drive overall store operations. Your leadership skill sets the tone in the store. The Store Coach is focused on store performance and leading all Squad to deliver the best MOD experience. You will coach, inspire, and demonstrate the MOD way.
This position is a player/coach job which means you will flex to the needs of the store, sometimes leading, sometimes doing, but always keeping the MOD experience at the front of your mind.
Key Responsibilities
- Be an example of MOD values and behaviors and exemplify a service mindset through effective leadership
- Be a role model of outstanding customer service. Help create that fun MOD atmosphere our customers expect
- Coach Shift Captains to keep the energy high and create a positive on the shift
- Demonstrate, train and coach Squad in all methods for accomplishing store tasks
- Ensure all stations, product, and equipment are clean, well maintained and meet all quality standards
- Demonstrate knowledge of all Operational Standards and resources
- Inform the General Manager of performance issues. Listen to and resolve Squad member concerns in the absence of the General Manager
- Manage cash handling functions for the shift

Required Qualifications
- Candidates must have a minimum of 6 months in a Shift Captain position (any exceptions require RD approval) or 1 year of supervisory experience in a retail store or restaurant, ideally in a customer facing position
- Experience successfully leading, coaching, training, and motivating front line employees
- Ability to think strategically and act tactically
- Ability to stay calm and focused in busy restaurant operations
- Belief in our purpose, accepting of change and growth mindset
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must obtain a food safety certification and/or alcohol beverage certification within 30 days of your start date
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated service leadership style and presence
Physical Requirements
As a member of our Squad, you must have the ability to work in an open kitchen environment, rotating between front and back of house. This requires walking, bending, twisting, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, carrying, pushing and pulling, and in general handling or moving objects weighing up to fifty pounds. You must also have the ability to operate hand-held appliances, sharp knives, and various kitchen equipment including but not limited to the industrial can opener, dough press, industrial dishwasher, very hot oven, etc. Depending on the location, you may need to go up and down stairs and/or use an elevator. You must also have the ability to communicate and exchange information quickly in English with Squad members and others.
