Position Overview

The Field Learning Leader is responsible for the delivery and execution of effective training programs at MOD’s Company stores and supports MOD’s Mission by promoting a learning culture.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the rollout of learning initiatives spanning a variety programs, processes, systems and tools to include in-store systems, customer experience, product training, food safety, etc.
  • Support Training General Managers (TGMs) inclusive of:
    • Conducting “train the trainer” sessions to equip new TGMs to train others on all core procedures and systems.
    • Conducting “train the trainer” sessions to educate existing TGMs on new initiatives.
    • Regularly checking in on TGMs and providing ongoing support as appropriate.
  • Support change management initiatives
  • Partner with Field Leadership teams to ensure training programs and materials are effectively implemented as defined by the subject matter experts from across the org (People, Food, Marketing, Tech, etc)
  • Provide observations, evaluations, and feedback on training effectiveness
  • Exemplify a culture of learning at MOD
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Travel required

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years previous field training experience, delivering to a variety of learners from leadership to the line
  • Prior restaurant operations experience in quick service or fast casual restaurant
  • Proven facilitation skills
  • Knowledge of principles and methods for change management, teaching and instruction for individuals and adult learners, and measurement of training results
  • Experience leading with influence and providing mentorship around training and best practices
  • Proficient in a variety of technology systems, especially Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and able to adapt to new systems quickly

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  •  Bachelor’s degree in related field
  •  Previous leadership experience
  •  Previous experience in a matrix organization

 

Physical Requirements

Multi-store training work involves operating a motor vehicle to manage a field staff within a specific region or route. Regularly and safely perform all functions of operating a motor vehicle, including prolonged sitting. Regularly operate a laptop and mobile phone. Communicate and exchange information with co-workers and other individuals in person or electronically. When filling in occasionally positioning oneself (e.g., stand, walk, stoop, bend, twist, kneel, crouch, push, pull) to move or lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
