VP of Supply Chain

Summary

The VP of Supply Chain reports to the CFO. You will lead and be responsible for the overall supply chain strategy, enable sustained growth, ensure product availability, quality, food safety and cost effectiveness across the enterprise while delivering the MOD experience. You will interact with executive leadership and cross-functional teams, maintain strong partnerships with all vendors, meet product needs on a timely basis and evaluate and recommend new products to enhance standards and drive P&L metrics.  You will lead the supply chain team in executing the annual MOD strategic plan.  You will provide guidance and mentorship to the Supply Chain team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct the team to that ensures timely resolution of day-to-day Supply Chain issues that occur at MOD Pizza locations
  • Accountable for relationship and performance management of all Supply Chain vendors
  • Facilitate supplier involvement in joint continuous improvement efforts with focus on quality and lead-time.
  • Lead Key Business Reviews to ensure alignment with vendors related to performance, continuous improvement goals, and platform strategy.
  • Develop and maintain Supplier Scorecards and KPI's to facilitate continuous improvement in the areas of Production, Fulfillment, Quality, Cost of Goods, Inventory Management, Waste, and other metrics.
  • Ensure that standard costs are set and aligned to contractual commitments.
  • Reinforce and promote procurement standards and best practices.
  • Negotiate cost effective pricing programs for all supplies and services, adhering to MOD guidelines and quality specifications.
  • Evaluate proposals and determination of suppliers; review proposed products and services.

  • Build and maintain solid relationships with strategic supply chain partners.
  • Manage the vendor onboarding process.
  • Partner with Culinary and Operations Services to enhance menu offerings at favorable pricing.
  • Identify areas for cost reduction and support efforts to improve value wherever possible.
  • Evaluate impact resulting from changes and exceptions in processes.
  • Identify and mitigate food safety and quality risks throughout the supply chain.

Basic Qualifications

  • 10+ years of direct work experience in restaurant industry supply chain management at a senior level
  • 10+ years of direct work experience in process and project management
  • Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management or related field or equivalent experience.
  • Very strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Supply chain operations experience in multiple functional areas such as Planning and sourcing, Experience in the Food or CPG industry
  • Experience commercializing multi-market/region, multi-channel product introductions.
  • Strong working knowledge of purchasing, supply management, logistics, and food and beverage categories
  • Experience in international supply chain and supporting restaurants outside the US.
  • Base understanding and working knowledge of purchasing and supply management, and how it relates to operations.
  • Ability to run cost savings analysis measuring savings/impact.
  • Familiarity with operational needs, functions and objectives.
  • Ability to travel.

 

Physical Requirements

Office work involves remaining in a stationary position most of the time in front of a computer, using a keyboard, mouse and telephone. Regularly operate a computer and other office equipment. Occasionally move about the work site to access file cabinets, office equipment, etc. Exert up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or regularly move objects. Communicate and exchange information with co-workers and other individuals in person and electronically.
