Position Overview



MOD is one of the fastest growing restaurant brands in the US, and also one of America’s most loved brands. Our VP of Social Impact plays key role in both by supporting the company’s growth while preserving our culture.

Reporting directly to the SVP of People, the VP of Social Impact will:

  • Lead and develop the existing Community Engagement team while serving as the central liaison for all corporate giving activities including MOD’s Bridge and Journey Funds (Employee financial support programs).
  • Lead all aspects of all of MOD’s social impact initiatives --including the creation of meaningful employment opportunities for those with barriers to employment.
  • Build and implement MOD's first ever formal Employee Resource Group initiative.
  • Establish, conduct, and support high level industry benchmarking assessments, research analysis, and establish metrics to support data driven business decisions as it relates to the diversity of our workforce and the inclusive culture we seek to build.


We believe in meaningful work that truly makes an impact on our communities and in the lives of our MOD Squad. As the Vice President of Social Impact at MOD you'll provide business critical counsel to senior leadership that helps to define our public position on the social issues that impact our Squad and the communities in which we live and work.


We know we can’t reach our goals alone, to ensure that we are always learning and growing this role will also be responsible for cultivating deep and lasting relationships with current and potential partners (NGOs, government agencies, other like-minded companies) to facilitate cooperative efforts that will enhance MOD’s social impact efforts.



  • Inspirational leader with 10+ years of advancing relevant professional experience leading teams within Human Resources, Corporate Social Responsibility, and/or Inclusion and Diversity.
  • Foundational understanding of a broad range of social impact initiatives with proven experience in crafting and executing effective social impact, diversity, and/or CSR initiatives for large, distributed organizations.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills, both verbal and written, delivered to a wide variety of audiences.
  • Demonstrated cultural awareness, agility, and ability to build trust and credibility within new and established teams.
  • Dynamic team builder with experience inspiring and mentoring teams of direct and indirect reports.
  • Strong analytic skills and ability to translate metrics, research, and trends into strategy and measurable goals.
  • Demonstrated success in establishing and implementing best in class diversity and inclusion concepts and programming with an excellent command of diversity and inclusion concepts in the workplace.
  • Must demonstrate a high level of comfort leading through all phases of a company's diversity journey, including individual coaching and mentoring for results.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in related field
  • Capability supporting a geographically dispersed employee population
  • Experience in a public consumer-focused company, retail or restaurant preferred
  • Deep analytical skills: ability to analyze large amounts of data and develop sound recommendations
  • Change Management skills

Physical Requirements:

Office work involves remaining in a stationary position most of the time in front of a computer, using a keyboard, mouse, and telephone. Regularly operate a computer and other office equipment. Occasionally move about the work site to access file cabinets, office equipment, etc. Exert up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or regularly move objects. Communicate and exchange information with co-workers and other individuals in person and electronically.
