Compensation: $177,299 - $208,548

Actual salaries will be based on candidates qualifications, competencies, experience and geographic location. .

Summary

MOD Pizza is seeking a strategic and results-driven Vice President of Finance to lead our Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) and overall financial operations. This role will oversee budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and performance analytics to support strategic decision-making across the company.
As a key member of the executive team, the VP of Finance will drive financial discipline, enable data-driven leadership, and help MOD scale sustainably while staying true to our mission and values.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the FP&A function, including annual budgeting, long-range planning, and rolling forecasts
  • Build and maintain comprehensive financial models to support corporate strategy, store development, and investment decisions
  • Provide accurate and timely forecasting and variance analysis across revenue, cost, and operating metrics
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (Operations, Supply Chain, HR, Marketing, etc.) to drive financial accountability and results
  • Present financial results, forecasts, and KPIs to the executive team and board of directors
  • Establish and continuously improve internal financial reporting systems and dashboards
  • Drive key insights through business intelligence tools and predictive analytics
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing FP&A team, building a culture of curiosity, precision, and continuous improvement
  • Support scenario planning and sensitivity analysis to evaluate business risks and opportunities
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies, GAAP, and internal controls

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA, CPA, or CFA preferred
  • 10+ years of progressive finance leadership experience, with at least 5 years in FP&A
  • Strong background in budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance management
  • Expertise in Excel-based modeling and FP&A systems (e.g., Adaptive Insights, Anaplan, NetSuite, Tableau)
  • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to connect financial outcomes to operational actions
  • Strong business acumen, communication, and presentation skills
  • Proven leadership in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment
  • Deep alignment with MOD’s people-first culture and servant leadership philosophy

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in multi-unit restaurant, retail, or consumer services industry strongly preferred

Physical Requirements

Office work involves remaining in a stationary position most of the time in front of a computer, using a keyboard, mouse and telephone. Regularly operate a computer and other office equipment. Occasionally move about the work site to access file cabinets, office equipment, etc. Exert up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or regularly move objects. Communicate and exchange information with co-workers and other individuals in person and electronically.
