Summary

MOD’s Store Design team is looking for an enthusiastic design professional to support the development of design concepts and brand standards consistent with our overall image.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in the creation of new store concepts under the supervision of a Senior Program Manager.
  • Support the development of design standards, tools, templates and processes.
  • Collaborate with our entire Store Development team to assure relevance, accuracy and to maintain MOD’s high standard for design quality.
  • Maintain focus and forward momentum in a fast-paced (sometimes ambiguous) work environment.
  • Assure that assigned tasks are completed accurately and on time.

Basic Qualifications

  • Technical or Associates degree in Interior Design, Architecture or related field.
  • 2+ years of professional experience in a similar design role.
  • Well versed in space planning and architectural design concepts.
  • Experience creating thorough design presentation packages.
  • Ability to navigate and reference construction documents.
  • Familiarity with vendor coordination (ie signage, casework, furniture) and shop drawing review.
  • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp/Layout, Adobe Creative Suite, Smartsheet, MS Office
  • Strong technical, organizational and creative skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with restaurant and/or retail design.
  • Basic understanding of Building and Accessibility Codes.

Physical Requirements

Office work requires sitting at a desk for extended periods, typically operating a computer.  Occasional movement throughout the workspace is required in order to attend meetings and to access office equipment and supplies.  Employee may occasionally lift objects up to 10 pounds in weight.
