Position Overview

This Senior People Systems Specialist will help support MOD’s People team through the implementation and optimization of the various systems used in HR and may administer one or more of the HR system modules.  If you consider yourself both a technology and people person, this is the role for you.


Key Responsibilities

  • Act as primary administrator of the human resource management system, SuccessFactors in addition to other systems supported by the People Systems team.
  • Assist in the review, testing and implementation of upgrades and modules.
  • Provide support for the organization, including researching and resolving system related issues, unexpected results or process flows.
  • Serve as a key liaison and project lead with third parties and other stakeholders for new integrations, configuration, projects, and implementations.
  • Write, maintain and support a variety of reports or queries using appropriate reporting tools.
  • Develop user procedures, guidelines, and documentation.
  • Keeps users of the systems informed of changes in functionality.
  • Creates and submits support tickets with vendor and validates fixes.


Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • 3-5 years experience in a HRIS functional role
  • Proven HRIS knowledge preferably experience with the SuccessFactors suite
  • Experience driving process implementation from inception through on-going maintenance
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment, integrity and professionalism in all transactions, including communicating and working with confidential and sensitive information
  • Proven time management skills and ability to meet project deadlines
  • Proactive communicator and partner


Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of recruitment, onboarding, and data management processes
  • Experience with SuccessFactors
