Position Overview

The Senior Field Learning and Development Specialist supports MOD and the Field Learning and Development Team by developing, designing, and executing training and development programs for Field employees at MOD. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Field Learning and Development, you will play an integral role in supporting and advancing MOD’s strategic vision through training solutions, delivery, and maintenance of content and support tools.


Key Responsibilities:


Basic Qualifications:

  • 4+ years’ experience with full cycle content creation for Operational and Developmental training.
  • 2+ years’ experience with Instructional Design software and eLearning course creation.
  • 2+ years’ experience with video production and editing software.
  • A clear passion for all things People, Learning, and Development.
  • Excellent written, verbal and communication skills.
  • Strong team player, willing to support various needs of the business.
  • Excellent computer skills inclusive of the full Microsoft Suite
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills; basic program management skills.
  • Must actively represent and promote our people-centric culture and MOD’s core values.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree, college certificate, or equivalent experience (relevant field)
  • Understanding of principles of adult learning, learning styles, and various instructional design approaches and processes to learning solutions.
  • Prior experience as an administrator of a Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Prior Experience in relevant environment – restaurant/retail industry, fast-paced environment, people-first culture.
  • People Development and Operations experience at multiple levels a plus


Physical Requirements

Office work involves remaining in a stationary position most of the time in front of a computer, using a keyboard, mouse, and telephone. Regularly operate a computer and other office equipment. Occasionally move about the work site to access file cabinets, office equipment, etc. Exert up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or regularly move objects. Communicate and exchange information with co-workers and other individuals in person and electronically.
