Please Note:  Candidates must live in the Florida market or have Florida market expertise and willing to relocate there.

Build and maintain relationships with brokers, developers, and landlords, and leverage those relationships to identify sites in existing and planned developments in various cities throughout the US. Responsible for site selection, financial modeling, obtaining management approval and managing development process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather and evaluate economic, demographic, and other market data to identify key trade areas
  • Perform competitor analysis and site mapping within key trade areas
  • Visit and inspect prospective properties to determine suitability
  • Build and manage the pipeline of potential sites in markets identified for expansion to ensure MOD achieves it growth objectives
  • Work closely with Real Estate Director to negotiate and understand all provisions of leases with support of outside counsel
  • Prepare site evaluation packages, including store financial proforma, for executive management
  • Responsible for project tracking. 
  • Communicate with and manage third parties such as real estate brokers, attorneys, and architects.
  • Communicate and partner with various internal disciplines such as Operations, Construction, Design, Legal, Lease Administration, and Finance.
  • Supports Real Estate Director in the creation and implementation of market penetration strategies for new markets and effectively executes market plans.
  • Negotiates letters of intent and leases with landlords, brokers, and attorneys.

Basic Qualifications

  • 3-5 years real estate deal making experience
  • Proficient in computer programs such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Must have excellent interpersonal, analytical and organizational skills
  • Must be able to perform effectively with minimal supervision
  • Must be able to multi-task and have a results-oriented mentality
  • Must be extremely detailed and efficient
  • Ability to travel, including overnight travel, up to 50% or greater

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred- real estate, finance and/or accounting
  • Experience with restaurants is a plus
  • High degree of professionalism and integrity
  • Well organized, effective planner with the ability to effectively allocate time and work
  • Dependable and can be counted upon to meet deadlines and commitments
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to manage communications across multiple departments
  • A positive upbeat personality who believes in opportunities rather than obstacles
  • Self-starter with high degree of problem-solving skills
  • A passion for MOD Pizza and our purpose

Physical Requirements

Travel work involves operating a motor vehicle within a specific region or route. Regularly and safely perform all functions of operating a motor vehicle, including prolonged sitting. Regularly operate a laptop and mobile phone. Communicate and exchange information with co-workers and other individuals in person or electronically. Occasionally positioning oneself (e.g., stand, walk, stoop, bend, twist, kneel, crouch, push, pull) to move or lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
