Position Overview

This role contributes to the company’s success by producing final art files for the store graphics packages. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Use of Adobe InDesign to create installation guides for vendors
  • Use of excel to create graphics schedule (detailed list of deliverables identifying sizes and substrates for printed pieces)
  • Create, modify, and troubleshoot raster and vector artwork in Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
  • Examine artwork created by graphic design team to identify errors and ensure proper output
  • Prepare digital files for large-format output on a variety of materials and substrates
  • Work with print vendors and installers to ensure quality and accuracy
  • Read and understand building plans and know how to measure them accurately
  • Create artwork to scale in order to determine fit and placement of graphics
  • Create contact sheets, templates, dielines, and clipping masks
  • Edit and optimize PDFs
  • Approves vendor proofs
  • Works cross functionally with store designer, graphic designers and producers to ensure artwork accuracy
  • Support miscellaneous store graphics requests.
  • Support miscellaneous marketing requests.

 

Basic Qualifications:

 

  • 5+ years agency, graphic design or corporate retail experience in related skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to multi task in a fast-paced environment
  • Work quickly under pressure
  • Creative thinker
  • Deep understanding/interest in creative production and development
  • Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills
  • Exceptional collaboration skills w/ interdisciplinary teams and agendas
  • Strong follow-up skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Excellent problem solving/demonstrated design thinking in action
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite

 

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Preferred agency or in-house design/production environment

 

Physical Requirements

Office work involves remaining in a stationary position most of the time in front of a computer, using a keyboard, mouse and telephone. Regularly operate a computer and other office equipment. Occasionally move about the work site to access file cabinets, office equipment, etc. Exert up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or regularly move objects. Communicate and exchange information with co-workers and other individuals in person and electronically.
