Supply Chain Intern

As a Supply Chain Intern, you will not only have an opportunity to participate in an end-to-end project supporting the Food Team, but also will gain the unique perspective of daily supply chain operations at MOD. We have purposefully designed our internship program to be an authentic reflection of what it means to be an integral part of MOD's Food Team.  This is achieved through a hands-on, 10-week long, paid program structured to build fundamental supply chain knowledge while facilitating personal and professional growth through collaboration, exploration, and mentorship.  If you thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, then MOD is the right place for you!  


Key Responsibilities:

  • Ability to plan, coordinate, and execute a relevant supply chain project
  • Manage several of our key operations including vendors, supply chain operations, and store order fulfilment
  • Assist in negotiating cost effective pricing programs for supplies and services, following MOD’s guidelines and quality specifications
  • Build and maintain solid relationships with strategic supply chain partners


Basic Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Good interpersonal and excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic understanding and working knowledge of both purchasing and supply management and how it relates to operations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • An Understanding and commitment to MOD’s Values


Preferred Qualifications

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, operations management or related field
  • Food service/restaurant experience a plus

Physical Requirements:

Office work involves remaining in a stationary position most of the time in front of a computer, using a keyboard, mouse and telephone. Regularly operate a computer and other office equipment. Occasionally move about the work site to access file cabinets, office equipment, etc. Exert up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or regularly move objects. Communicate and exchange information with co-workers and other individuals in person and electronically.
