Compensation: $78,000 - $90,000

Actual salaries will be based on candidates qualifications, competencies, experience and geographic location. .

Summary

The Graphic Designer will be responsible for creative development of compelling and unique branded materials to support MOD Pizza’s marketing and promotional materials in print and digital channels. The Graphic Designer will meet creative objectives as directed by Marketing, Store Design and Creative leadership. They deliver world-class designs and understand the production workflow of graphic design, video, photography, and copywriting. They are exceptionally organized and passionate about seeing projects succeed and approach obstacles with a solutions-first mindset.

 

Work Location and Schedule Expectations
The Graphic Designer is expected work onsite in our Support Center located in Bellevue, Washington Monday - Thursday. Your schedule is a standard business day and has flexibility to come in early or stay late based on your personal and work demands. 

Key Responsibilities

DESIGN EXECUTION

  • Develop, evolve and execute on-brand designs.
  • Translate brand strategy into visual concepts by interpreting high level brand values and concepts and developing tangible designs.
  • Multitask projects with diverse parameters and objectives.
  • Deliver designs that are both technically and creatively excellent, on-time.
  • Present multiple design options for review, guided by specific and/or open direction.
  • Present, evangelize, and defend work within the Creative team.
  • Adhere to file naming conventions and other project management needs.

CREATIVE DEVELOPMENT

  • Elevate the MOD Pizza brand, marketing, and restaurant design goals that align with brand strategy.
  • Collaborate and contribute to a growing Creative team regularly in effort to shape and adhere to MOD’s unique brand.
  • Develop and/or evolve the design language of the brand.

STRATEGY

  • Maintain an awareness of current design trends and industry relevant workflows.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of available resources and apply effectively to assigned projects, as well as explore new materials and resources for final application.
  • Develop competitor analyses focusing on the visual language of competitors (both direct and indirect) and identify gaps and opportunities for MOD Pizza to stand out.

Scope of Creative Projects:  

  • Advertising in all media channels including paid media, campaign development (including copy/writing), restaurant graphic design and storytelling, restaurant point of purchase materials, packaging, branding and new product development branding. 
  • Operations driven projects including job aids, training collateral, and other functional designs.  
  • Social media content
  • Brand owned channels, including website, email, and rewards-app.

Basic Qualifications

  • 4+ years of relevant and progressive experience in an agency, production company or internal creative services team 
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite Apps and Microsoft Office programs including:
    • Illustrator
    • Photoshop
    • InDesign
    • Teams
    • Outlook
  • Provide creative portfolio as part of your application
  • Understanding of print and digital asset workflows, prepress production, proofing, etc
  • Project management experience from concept to completion
  • Prior experience managing asset libraries
  • Demonstrated skill in being collaborative with both internal partners and external vendors

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in creating motion media elements (gifs, animations, short videos, eg)
  • Retail, Consumer and Environmental design experience
  • Flexible design aesthetics that can adapt to multiple audiences
  • Drawing/Illustration skills
  • Experience in Adobe After Effects
  • UX/UI design experience for customer journeys.
  • Experience with online design tools like Figma, Canva, Adobe Express

Physical Requirements

Office work involves remaining in a stationary position most of the time in front of a computer, using a keyboard, mouse and telephone. Regularly operate a computer and other office equipment. Occasionally move about the work site to access file cabinets, office equipment, etc. Exert up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or regularly move objects. Communicate and exchange information with co-workers and other individuals in person and electronically.
