Compensation: $81,000 - $100,000 annually

*Actual salaries will vary based on a candidate’s qualifications, competencies, experience, geographic location.

Summary

The MOD Finance team is seeking a Financial Analyst to join our financial planning group. This role will be responsible for converting data into insights and action across the organization, including as a key contributor to our financial model and to our annual financial planning and forecasting cycles. The Financial analyst will report to the Finance Manager.
 

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain financial models used to assess, report, and forecast key business indicators, revenues, and expenses
  • Contribute to the creation of MOD’s annual budget, quarterly forecasts, and long-range plan 
  • Partner with Finance leadership in review of company profit/loss (P&L) performance through variance analysis, trend analysis, and outlier assessment 
  • Craft data-informed insights and recommendations in support of organizational decision-making
  • Assist in the preparation of financial materials for key stakeholders, including MOD’s senior executives
  • Evaluate business cases and provide feedback regarding benefits, costs, risks, and opportunities
  • Collaborate with Finance leadership to identify growth and cost efficiency opportunities and to deliver achievement of business objectives and key results
  • Represent Finance on cross-functional project teams as needed

Basic Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in finance or financial-related roles
  • Proven analytical and quantitative skillset 
  • Curiosity and passion for data, insights, and storytelling
  • Desire to flourish in a sometimes ambiguous, fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • Excellent attention to detail 
  • Sense of ownership and can-do attitude
  • Willingness to coach and to be coached
  • Intermediate to Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working directly with senior leadership & executives
  • Familiarity with modern data visualization software such as Tableau
  • Public company and/or retail industry experience 

Physical Requirements

Office work involves remaining in a stationary position most of the time in front of a computer, using a keyboard, mouse and telephone. Regularly operate a computer and other office equipment. Occasionally move about the work site to access file cabinets, office equipment, etc. Exert up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or regularly move objects. Communicate and exchange information with co-workers and other individuals in person and electronically.
