Summary

The MOD Finance team is looking for a Finance Manager as we gear up for continued growth. This role will be responsible for helping leaders throughout the organization make strategic, analytically supported decisions and will act as the lead Finance team partner to our Marketing and Supply Chain departments. If you are a proactive problem solver with a growth mindset who loves working with data and engaging others, you will thrive in this position.

After joining the team, you will play a key role in broadening the Finance team’s impact and reach. An average week might see you evaluate financial performance of the latest MOD Rewards offering, guide our sourcing team through forecast support, meet with an executive leader to review a submitted business case, and assess profitability for a proposed culinary initiative.

 

The Finance Manager will report directly to the Vice President of Financial Planning & Analysis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with the MOD leadership team to identify growth and cost efficiency opportunities and to deliver achievement of business objectives and key results

  • Influence organizational decision-making through development of data-informed insights and recommendations

  • Lead financial analysis for determining return on investment and profit/loss (P&L) impact

  • Collaborate with senior Finance leadership and cross-functional teams to establish targets, track progress, measure results and improve processes

  • Evaluate business cases and provide feedback regarding benefits, costs, risks, and opportunities

  • Assist in preparation of MOD’s annual budget, quarterly forecasts, long-term plan, and other senior executive, board, and investor materials

Basic Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree (Finance or similar field preferred)
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in financial analysis, modeling, and business planning
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skillset
  • Curiosity and passion for data, insights, and storytelling
  • Experience engaging senior executives
  • Desire to flourish in a sometimes ambiguous, fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Sense of ownership and can-do attitude
  • Intermediate to Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with modern data visualization software such as Tableau
  • Experience with SQL
  • Public company experience
  • Retail industry experience

Physical Requirements

Office work involves remaining in a stationary position most of the time in front of a computer, using a keyboard, mouse and telephone. Regularly operate a computer and other office equipment. Occasionally move about the work site to access file cabinets, office equipment, etc. Exert up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or regularly move objects. Communicate and exchange information with co-workers and other individuals in person and electronically.
