Compensation: $54,000 - $65,000 salary

Actual salaries will be based on candidates qualifications, competencies, experience and geographic location. .

Facilities Specialist Overview

As MOD’s new Facilities Specialist you will support Regional Facilities Managers by providing comprehensive facilities management services to a subset of locations in a cost effective and professional manner. The Facilities Specialist also owns and manages the preventative maintenance program, the analysis of equipment replacement timelines and our energy management program. Ideal locations for this person to be based are Houston or DFW. 
 

Facilities Specialist Key Responsibilities

  • Works to resolve mutual challenges with the broader facilities team by utilizing Service Channel. Monitor and report on open work order management and vendor engagement. The role will closely work with Regional Facilities Managers as well as cross-functional teams to provide data and visibility to key performance indicators. This includes:
    • Conduct a daily review of work orders, utilizing best practices to determine response requirements and proper work order adjustments. 
    • Work closely with Regional Facility Manager to assure noncompliance is handled expeditiously. 
    • Ongoing ownership of preventive maintenance module to assure all required preventative maintenance items are scheduled, assigned, and have accurate financial information and documentation.
    • Manage new store account set up (and possible closures) with all service providers. Coordinate scheduling and store access for all maintenance activities.
    • Provide weekly work order analysis and reporting to facilities team. 
    • Work with all vendors and suppliers, as needed.
  • Manage tracking and notification of pest control reporting, including direct emails to operations teams and tracking and analysis of data.
  • Confirm and record site specific information and contacts. Coordinate with property management for service access as needed.
  • Manage Service Channel supply catalog, including supporting operations requests. Procure proposals and price quotes for parts & services as needed.
  • Timely processing of service requests. verifying work completed and providing appropriate follow up communications.
  • Manage rebates for equipment purchases, anticipated purchases, and for construction projects. 
  • Initiate warranty service requests with general contractors, equipment manufacturers and or their authorized vendors.
  • Review, obtain, vet, and determine best vendors for all warranty categories. Including proper assignments and system review to assure the proper warranty vendors are performing warranty services for the manufacturer. 
  • Monitor facilities vendors’ performance to ensure stores are maintained at the highest possible levels.
  • Coordinate and participate in the planning and management of facilities repair and maintenance projects. 
  • Assisting with large projects as requested, such as compiling project scope of work, cost estimates and scheduling information for review and approval.
  • Service Channel key performance indicator tracking and reporting, for regions, districts, vendors, priorities, etc. 
  • Other reporting, as requested by Sr Director of Facilities.
  • Support planning and completion of the facilities team’s goals and objectives. Aid in continuous improvement of facilities processes and protocols.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with support center teams. Provide cross-functional support to meet company goals and objectives.

Facilities Specialist Required Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of related facilities work experience.
  • Prior professional experience utilizing Service Channel. 
  • Prior experience managing preventative maintenance program and/or energy management program.
  • Possess strong written, verbal and customer service skills, and an attention to detail.
  • Available some nights & weekends for emergency service requests.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Restaurant industry experience 
  • Advanced knowledge of Service Channel
  • Experience working with rebate programs effectively.
